Specification-led buying guide

Best Ooni Accessories 2026

Buy a peel first, then an infrared thermometer. Those solve the two jobs every pizza cook faces: getting dough onto the stone and knowing when that stone is ready. Add a turning peel, brush, table or cookware only when it fixes a specific gap in your setup.

The useful shortlist

Best Ooni accessories by job

These are use-case recommendations based on verified dimensions, materials, compatibility and function. We have not assigned test scores to products without recorded first-hand evidence.

Ooni Pizza Peel1

Best first peel

Ooni Pizza Peel

Its level aluminium surface can support preparation, launching, turning and retrieval. A dedicated turning peel is more precise inside the oven, while this flat head covers the core jobs with one tool.

35.5 × 70 × 3.5cm; 0.68kg
Ooni Pizza Turning Peel2

Best for turning

Ooni Pizza Turning Peel

The small round head is for rotating and repositioning a launched pizza without removing it from the stone. It complements a launching peel rather than replacing one.

Type
Pizza peel
Compatibility
Seven-inch and nine-inch head options for turning pizza inside a suitable oven
7-inch
17 × 80 × 2cm; 0.4kg
9-inch
22.9 × 81.7 × 1.5cm; 0.4kg
Ooni Digital Infrared Thermometer3

Best temperature essential

Ooni Digital Infrared Thermometer

The thermometer reads surfaces from -30°C to 550°C with a 10:1 distance-to-spot ratio. Scan mode records minimum, maximum and average readings, which is useful when checking heat distribution and recovery between pizzas.

Type
Temperature tool
Compatibility
Pizza stones and other suitable cooking surfaces within the thermometer's stated range
Temperature range
-30°C to 550°C
Stated accuracy
Within the larger of 2% or 4°F
Ooni Folding Table4

Best portable table

Ooni Folding Table

At 10.4kg, this is substantially easier to store than a fixed modular table. The stainless-steel top carries up to 35kg and the lower shelf up to 15kg, so the oven footprint and load still need checking.

Type
Outdoor workstation
Compatibility
Portable Ooni pizza-oven setups; confirm the oven footprint against the tabletop before buying
Dimensions
57.5 × 70 × 90cm
Weight
10.4kg
Ooni Modular Table – Large and Medium5

Best permanent workstation

Ooni Modular Table – Large and Medium

Both tables stand 90cm high and 80cm deep. Medium is 60cm wide and rated to 50kg; Large is 80cm wide and rated to 60kg. The extra 20cm of width is useful landing space beside a large oven.

Type
Outdoor workstation
Compatibility
Ooni outdoor ovens and accessories; choose Medium or Large around the oven footprint and required preparation space
Medium
60 × 80 × 90cm; 22.14kg
Large
80 × 80 × 90cm; 26kg
Ooni Pizza Oven Brush6

Best for stone care

Ooni Pizza Oven Brush

We think a dedicated brush is worthwhile when the oven is used often, provided it is only used as the manufacturer directs and never on a hot stone in a way that risks damage or burns.

Type
Oven accessory
Compatibility
Ooni pizza-oven baking stones; select the size that suits the oven
Ooni Cast Iron Skillet Pan7

Best all-round cookware

Ooni Cast Iron Skillet Pan

A flat nine-inch cooking surface suits searing, frying and recipes containing liquid. The 2.9kg weight improves heat retention but makes the removable handle and trivet important in use.

Type
Cookware
Compatibility
Ooni ovens, open fires and suitable domestic hobs or stovetops
Dimensions
30 × 24.6 × 3.8cm
Cooking surface
9 inches
Ooni Pizza Dough Boxes8

Best for batch proofing

Ooni Pizza Dough Boxes

We would prioritise footprint and fridge fit over branding. Dedicated boxes become worthwhile when individual containers are slowing down a multi-pizza dough routine.

Type
Preparation tool
Compatibility
Proofing and storing pizza dough balls; confirm fridge and workspace dimensions

Spend in the right order

What should you buy first?

01

Launching peel

Essential. Match the head width to both your intended pizza and the oven mouth. A flat metal peel handles several jobs; perforations shed loose flour; bamboo doubles as a serving board.

02

Infrared thermometer

Useful with any stone-baked oven because it measures the cooking surface rather than the air. The Ooni model covers -30°C to 550°C and is calibrated for cordierite by default.

03

Turning peel and brush

A turning peel keeps pizza on the stone while rotating it. The brush deals with loose debris after the oven has cooled. Each solves a narrower job than the first two purchases.

04

Setup-specific extras

Choose tables from oven footprint and load, covers from exact model compatibility, and cookware from the oven opening and internal clearance—not from accessory category alone.

Avoid expensive mismatches

Compatibility matters more than branding

Peels

The head must fit through the opening with room to manoeuvre. Ooni offers 12-, 14- and 16-inch flat peels, but the largest matching number is not automatically the easiest choice.

Tables

The Folding and Medium Modular tables exclude Koda 2 Pro and Koda 2 Max. The Large Modular Table accepts every Ooni oven listed in the product data.

Covers

Ooni covers are model-specific. Similar Koda and Karu names do not make their shapes interchangeable, and Volt 12 still needs indoor storage.

Find the right cover →

Temperature tools

The infrared thermometer reads the stone. A food probe reads internal food temperature and needs the Connect system; several current Pro and Max ovens already include the hub.

How we selected these accessories

We prioritised tools that solve a common cooking problem, then checked official product information for dimensions, materials, included parts, care and exact oven compatibility. Placement reflects usefulness and buying priority, not an unrecorded hands-on test or customer-review average.

Ooni accessory FAQs

Which Ooni accessories are essential?

A launching peel is essential. An infrared thermometer is the next broadly useful purchase because it checks the stone surface before launch. Everything else depends on your oven and routine.

Do I need both a pizza peel and a turning peel?

A flat peel launches and retrieves the pizza. A small round turning peel rotates it inside the oven. You can begin with one flat peel, then add a turning peel if you want more control during the bake.

Are Ooni covers universal?

No. The covers in Ooni’s range are shaped around specific ovens or tables. Confirm the full model name before buying, especially across Koda and Karu generations.
